 Firefighter Christopher Balanciere

Christopher is a ten year veteran of the Garland Fire Department. He is currently assigned to the Fire Marshall’s office where he serves as a Investigator, Public Education Specialist and Inspector. He has received one Fire Service Commendation Bar for his work with the Garland Independent School District in the production of a fire safety video. Christopher has one son and sings tenor and lead in Fireforce.

 

 
 Captain Clay Carr

Clay is a 24 year veteran of the Garland Fire Department. He is currently assigned to Truck 1 at Central Fire Station. He is married and has three daughters. Captain Carr states, “I have held the rank of Captain since 1996.  I have always enjoyed coming to work and the opportunity to help those in time of need.  The camaraderie and family type atmosphere developed within the brotherhood of line firefighters makes the job rewarding, as well as enjoyable. I cannot imagine myself in any other career”. Clay sings Baritone in Fireforce.

 

 

 
 Lieutenant Glenn Lauth

Glenn is a 20 year veteran of the Garland Fire Department. He is a Lieutenant and 19 year Paramedic assigned to Engine 22. He has received six Fire Service Commendation Bars, a five year Perfect Attendance Commendation Bar and six Life Saving Bars. He is one of the original members of the Garland Fire Department Honor Guard. He is married with two daughters, one son and one grand daughter. Glenn sings tenor and lead in Fireforce.

 

 

 
Firefighter Bud Sanford

Bud is a 15 year veteran of the Garland Fire Department. He serves as the Driver Engineer on Truck 11. He is married and has one daughter and son. Bud has been a paramedic for 12 years and is a Master Firefighter. He has received Attendance Bars, 4 Life Saving Bars and 6 Commendation Bars. Bud sings Tenor and Lead in Fireforce.

 

 

 
 Captain Jeff Tokar

Jeff is a 21 year veteran of the Garland Fire Department. He is currently assigned to Fire Administration where he is the Captain of Administration and Public Information Officer. He has been a paramedic for 18 years and is certified as a Master Firefighter. He graduated from the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program, has one Life Saving Bar, seven Commendation Bars, a nine year Perfect Attendance Bar and was named the 1997 Firefighter of the Year. He was an original member and served seven years with Texas Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue Team. He has served as co-host six years on the Nationally Televised Satellite program “PULSE” which trains paramedics and emergency medical technicians. He is married with two sons. Jeff sings baritone and bass in Fireforce.

 

 
Captain Rick Townsend

Rick has been a veteran of the Garland Fire Department for 27 years and a 30 year member of the local volunteer department in Forney, Texas. He is a Captain and Paramedic assigned to Truck 11. He is married and has one son and one daughter. He holds a B.S. degree from East Texas State University and a Master Firefighter certification. He has lived in Forney, TX his entire life, serves at the First Baptist Church as a deacon where he also sings in a southern gospel quartet. He has been voted as the Forney Citizen of the Year by the Forney Chamber of Commerce and has also served three terms on the Forney Independent School Board. Rick sings bass in Fireforce.
